If I complain about people complaining, does that make me a complainer?

With that out of the way, I have what may be a constructive idea.
How about a subforum that is just for complaining.
That way when someone makes a post that is deemed complaining it can just be moved to that subforum.
Then the poster won't have been censored.
Just moved to somewhere that does not disrupt the rest of the forum.

I spend a lot of time here to learn and to see all the cool photos of knives and food.
To me, that is enjoyable.

But, when there is a negative post, it is like driving past road kill.
It is really gross, but some times you can't help but look.
So how about moving the road kill to a separate section where those who enjoy that sort of thing can go.

Great idea, I second.

It could be called "Grudges and Personal Vendettas".

as an afterthought;
How about a feedback subforum?
That way when a forum member has a good or bad experience with someone they can share their experiences.

I am not saying that people should not stand up for themselves when they feel they have been wronged.
Just do it in the appropriate venue.

I think that it is a bad idea to encourage complaining, instead let's encourage resolution, tolerance, and patience. Communication is vital.

Mark, good thinking...I'm with you! I come here to learn & improve my knowledge of knives. I do appreciate KKF members share their own experience but hate it turn into wars of words & verbal provocation!!:(

If there is a "road kill" sub forum, how about making it invisable until the rest of us subscribe? I would not want to see the threads when I select "what's new?" because I don't want to see them at all. I dislike roadkill.

I like this talk. The only thing I would say is that there is complaining and there is catharsis. We've had both here...but we should be getting over the later. It's time already. Let's keep the talk about blades, fancy wood, and all that other stuff that makes us borderline insane.

I have an idea-
Let's build an arena, a domed like shaped cage large enough to hold two combatants. Attached in various spots of this cage could be weapons, like gyutos and such, and the contestants could be hooked to springy ropes and attempt to reach these weapons. Also, us, the spectators, could all climb on the outside of this cage and shout things like "two man enter, one man leave!".
We could set up matches between the complainer and the complainant, and he or she who should rise victorious would obviously be "right".

I think this is a really good idea actually, I should write Hollywood....
