i'll do a write up. the shig is 240, but i really prefer to have a 270 version of watanabe. (yeah yeah, 240 vs 240 make more sense for comparison but i like the longer knives!)

decided to order a new 270 with octagon handle, thank you anyway to those who offered their 240 for sale.

von blewitt - thank you by the way for the heads up. i was going to buy that exact one but decided i really really want a 270 one as i only have one other 270 gyuto and quite a few 240s. someone should snatch that one up!

That is a nice knife but new they are 344 including shipping with the fall of the yen. Now if it was one of his kintaro ame blades that would be quite the deal. I have not seen a member post a picture of one of those . I think they are beautiful in a subtle way.
