Thanks for creating this forum! I don't have much in the way of pics that I need hosted (small knife collection), but I'm happy to contribute and help defer the costs of operating/ maintaining this site. :cool2:

fyi i think permissions for supporting folks are off if you hit kitchenknifeforums.com/ -- it throws a 'you do not have access to this page' error. probably need to add that role to those that can see the index page.

When you say "hit kitchenknifeforums.com/" do you mean typing it into the address bar of your browser or hitting the Home button?

Does anyone else have this problem?

If you type in the url http://www.kitchenknifeforums.com (normally your welcome page) rather than any of the internal forums pages... you get the following:

638

I just confirmed, I see the same error on the home page, but the forums page looks fine.

I was really worried when the poop hit the fan over at ITK but when I saw you start a forum a sense of calm swept over me. I then saw all the people who I looked up to when it came to kitchen knives join up and I have never looked back. Thank you Dave for providing a real quality forum that completely blows away the current ITK.

I have never met Ryan but have enjoyed his comments which are usually pithy and right on point. I think I saw a picture of him, either at Dave's when I took his class or on KF, wielding a huge cleaver with a very maniacal look on his face. I would call him anything he wants to be called.

So that's why... This is the first I noticed this thread. Now I regret shying away from the title.

working in finance and finance projects. I know how hard it is to keep a free site up and running. Not only that, managing to keep the site efficiently moderated and friendly to all new comers.

You have my support.
