Heres one we finished up this week.

Its a 1095 High Carbon blade RC 61

Handle is Huon Pine and Ironwood, Wa

This one is marked ER for my friend and fellow knife Knut Eric. He and I worked together to grind and heat treat and handle this one. :)

That knife really looks like it means business. That huon pine is stunning. Great work.

MY GOODNESS....... Randy, your ability to "craft" some of the coolest, nicest looking, functional knives I have ever seen is absolutely amazing. All I can say is WOW!!! Sushi! yummmmm...... freshly cured, applewood smoked pork & sauasages....... yup, middle of July. :cheffry::plus1::pirate1:

I most certainly don't post often in custom makers threads, but I am impressed!
That is a beautiful knife, and handle.

Randy, I think this is the most conservative looking knife you have made.
At least from what I have seen. It looks great!

Nice to see a carbon petty in a different steel then white #2.
It looks like it would be perfect on the line.

Randy: Thank you so much for sharing your shop, skills, and time with me, it was awesome! Just so everyone knows, Randy is very modest. This knife came out well despite my participation, mostly cause Randy is so skilled. I lost count of the times i said " uh Randy, I think I messed this up!" He would just have a look, ask if he could take over for a sec, and fix the error, give me a pointer or two , and let me have at it again! He also pays amazing attention to detail. I am glad he encouraged me to do my best, especially with the handle, since it looks, and feels great. Thank you sensei (sp?)
