The one customer review seems positive:

"Posted by masakenn715 on 2/11/12 I am sharp very well and am easy to use it very much"

Wandering around the Rakuten site reminds me of being a teenager and the experiences I'd get from putting little pieces of paper in my mouth...

An ex-coworker of mine had a suji from this line.

It took a fantastic edge, was well ground - not thin, but not a porker, cut well. She had some issues with reactivity and rust rather than patina. She was also japanese and thought that my idea of forcing a patina was 'no!!! Very dirty!'

I sharpened it once and it was very easy to sharpen and deburr.

The knife was fine, but in the back of mind was the thought that so is a carbon fujiwara at half the price.

ROFL

I'll never forget the time I put just such a piece of paper in my mouth and standing in front of a shop selling imported items saw a cheap video game system in the window. The box read ,

"You will never enjoy home entertainment like this before"

It took me what seemed like half an hour( but who knows really) to understand that it was the box, not me.....
