View Full Version : Sakai Takayuki/Ichimonji
Anyone have experience with these other knives blueway sells? I tried searching, but wasn't much info out there.

here is what Keiichi told me about the knife.
The Takayuki gyuto is very light and the half-rounded octagonal handle is comfortable in the hand.
The length of the cutting edge is 217mm. It is a little longer than other wa-gyutos from the Sakai makers.
Also it is very thin behind the cutting edge. The finish on the blade is a little rough due to the hammered finish.
It should be a great knife for this price.
I've actually been looking real hard at that one too...
