Is the Pacojet a device that can be employed by the (excessive) home cook? Is a blast chiller a mandatory piece of equipment to use the Paco properly?

A blast chiller isn't mandatory, but it makes it alot more efficient, not having to wait so long for items to fully freeze, what would you be using it for mainly! Ice cream, purées?

When I looked at blast chillers they need like 540 V or somthing crazy. That is alot of wiring I dont even know if you could get that covered in your home owners insurance. I wasn't getting one just curious.

mostly savory stuff. I thought a blast chiller was prohibitive more so than the Paco
