I would like to do a passaround with this 280mm full tang suji. I'm looking for 15 people.

Rules:
- Must be a member with KKF, good standing, min of 50 posts.

- You may sharpen the knife if you know what you are doing.

- Post a photo here when you get the knife and post here when you ship the knife.

- Use it for a week or less and PM the next person for shipping address.

- Insure the package for $300

- It would be great if each user could give some impressions in this thread, but I'll leave that up to you.

Thanks everyone!

Beautiful knife Ian. I bet it will slice the cutting board in half!

I'd love to try it but I'm going to hold off hoping you will do a gyuto passaround.

Thanks for mentioning that. I'll be doing a passaround for a gyuto as well. I just need my should to start working again (tore my rotator cuff). Hopefully I'll be back at it the end of next week. Very positive thinking! :)

FINE. Looks like we're going north. There better be some maple syrup hidden in there when the knife gets sent back to me. :)
Whoever ends up sending it to Canada PM me and I'll help out with the shipping cost.
I need four more Canadians/Americans.

Hey Ian,

I go to Canada a fair amount since I have friends up there. If you want to put all the Canadians together at the front, middle, back, whatever, right after Patrick, I can take them with me and ship it to the first person and eventually they can ship it back to my friend and I'll pick it up. Let me know if that's easier. You can email me to chat about it if ya want. :)

Let me know if I can help with your shoulder too. If you need a good PT, etc. Sorry to hear about your tear. :(

Suji shipped out this morning to cclin, pleue opted to go last.

@Gavin
Thanks for the offer - I already shipped it off. If you're in town when it gets back feel free to take the suji for a spin.
That's very generous of you, I'll keep it in mind. Hopefully this rascal heals up properly, until then, I can still pour a drink left handed!

The suji is now on it's way to Dardeau. I light touched up the edge on a Gesshin 6k followed by stropping Marko Felt Strop & 1 Micron Diamond Spray. I will post some photos later.....

Ian, Thanks for the opportunity to try it out!

Sorry, it's closed. I'll be doing a passaround with a gyuto soon if you are interested.

The knife should be headed back my way due to a broken tip.

Dardeau

Has this hit the road again? I'm curious what others think about it.

Haburn
06-05-2014, 01:09 AM
No, unfortunately this passaround is closed. Due to the tough nature of passarounds on knives, I am re-evaluating the best way to send knives out for feedback. :)

did the tip get broken in shipping or what? This is disappointing :sad0:
