Řyvind is also missing!! What is this?
To be fair, he made a pretty siginificant donation and should be elegible for a possibility to win one of the prizes.

I know that Ryan was using entries into the donation thread that stated "I'm In" as we had asked people to do. All other entries that said donated or whatever were not included because they may not have wanted to be included. Also, many people donated but never posted within the thread at all. There were many variables to consider here so in the end we went with the rules.

I'm locking this thread until we have a chance to discuss the matter with the moderator team.

Thanks, Ryan.
You're a gentleman.
It was our bad not getting the "I'm in" as the key to the draw.

Woohoo!! Super Exciting! So for clarity, this one isn't the Shigi, but Tom's pottery, which I, for one, am super stoked for and have multiple sets of fingers crossed. Tom probably is too modest to do much self-promotion, but the guy does some amazing stuff! Both in terms of his pottery and some of his brick-oven pizza ;) You can check it all out on his site below. It's seriously gorgeous stuff and well worth a look!

http://www.tomgraypottery.com/the-pots/

So thanks again Tom and good luck to all!

EDIT: Oh, and for the pizza, and awesome homemade brick oven, go here: http://www.tomgraypottery.com/the-grays-table/2011/7/7/latest-from-the-kitchens.html

I am proud to have been a small part of this endeavor. The true winners of this are those who contributed their money to support Bill and his wife. You people have proven to have open wallets and big hearts and I believe you deserve a big pat on the back for giving. And this includes those who donated in public and those who donated privately. In spite of some of the twists, turns and comments made here, this has been a success.

Thanks again to all who participated and I hope you will enjoy the giveaways!

Wait wait wait wait wait...

1. Does this mean I won the shig?

2. I obviously need to start playing the lotto in NJ.

3. If the answer to number 1 is yes, then I'm quite sure that neither this knife's final destination nor its mission to help Bill Burke should end with me; I will send some PMs out tomorrow once I get some sleep and have some time to sort things out in my head.

3b. If the answer to number 1 is no, then nuts to the rest of ya, I'm keepin' whatever it is I just won! :P

I'd like to send out an enormous thank-you to Oivind, David and Tom for their incredibly generous donations to this endeavor--things would surely not have gotten rolling like they did or turned out so well without you! Also a huge hand to Ryan for organizing things, Dave for hosting it all and of course to everyone who donated; I am really happy to be a part of this community.

As for Bill, I've never seen one of your knives in person and I certainly haven't ever met you, but I truly do wish you, your wife and your family the best of luck now and in the future!

http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/eavarela/cups3.jpg
There are 4 cups total and each one is slightly different in both shape and the pattern on it. The size is just right to hold in your hand and the shape of them actually makes them really comfortable. We like them a lot!

And here is also a pic of Oivind's shig at work on Thanksgiving.
http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x103/eavarela/shig.jpg
The mailman had tried to deliver it while I was at work, and since it required a signature for delivery, had taken it back. But then the post office apparently misfiled it and nobody could find the package when I went to pick it up! I did finally get it the day before Thanksgiving--3 days after it was supposed to have come!

I can try to get some better pictures of these things up if people are interested. In the meantime, Best Wishes to Bill and his family once more!
