That's an absolute stunner! I can easily picture a nice Shigefusa 240mm old stock cladded kasumi blade in that handle :D

Looks like "inkline spalted maple" Stabilized I would assume. Got a bunch of that stuff coming. :)

WOW. Miz 270 Akitada Hontanren? Love that knife... and now you've made me want to dress it up... sigh... how heavy is the new handle? I love the balance of mine, and can't imagine messing that up...

Good eye, Pierre. At least it didn't have any cracks when I sent it out ;) The other one is Honduran rosewood burl, I think the tip was spalted maple burl.

i LOVE this one, so stunning. rustic, yet refined. would look gorgeous on just about any carbon with a nice patina or even a kuro-uchi finish.

yep, 270 Miz. it's not heavy. i think it's going to work great on the knife.

of course! i accept payment in octagonal handles made from australian red cedar :cool:
