Hi

All of a sudden when i reply to a PM its automatically putting all the original text in the PM as a quote, i was playing with picture insertion the other day and i know i screwed something up to do this but i cant figure out what, any ideas please.

Haha. I think that's happening to everyone. Is it bothering you?

We updated the vbulletin software, and that is the default in the PMs now. If people don't remove the quotes and post above them, then each PM will have a complete record of the entire conversation.

Don't worry, you didn't break anything.

Thanks

Not asking you to change anything but personally it looks messy and i would not have made the change

if you do not like to have the quotes you can easily remove them.

Only on this forum do you assume that 'pm' in a thread title is about powdered metallurgical steel.

True, but now it's an extra step that we didn't have to mess with before. So here's another example of "if it isn't broken, don't fix it."

It looks messy? It is just a quote field, people use them in regular posts all the time. And it is functional, so you can read the entire conversation of PMs on one page.

I looked up the reason why this was implemented. Seems that there's was no regular quote for PMs button in the old software so they made this feature to fix this. Like it or not we're stuck with it.

It's way better with the quotes, imo.

I think it's a good idea. It's easy to trim.
