what kiind of grit range are these? the finsh off the lvl 3.5 Atagoayama Kiita looks really nice

Those Atagos are very pricy because of they huge size 220mm 85mm 65mm and very light color.
And plus they are without any inclusions at all !!
The lv 3,5 one is actually bit finer then reguler 3,5 so i will say Hardnes is 3,5 but fines is 4.
Approx. grit is hard to say but scratches is smaller then my 12k for sure :D

They do look like they'll last a few generations. Am itching to try some jnats, will have to drop you a pm when my next payday comes around....

I have Atago like those, it is very fine and for its hardness does not scratch soft iron at all, very very good stone. And at that size it will last 4-5 generations easy

If i sharpen a lot of knives that the stone i take, it is most consistent too.

Ok 2 Atagoyamas is in the store now :D

After some more test i can say that Lv 3,5 is suita and quite fast too.
Both stones is really collector pieces and very unique !

Phew,,, been staring at that mizukihara for the past month and a bit ... My wallet is safe for a little while longer.
