Here is " some else's knife" that I re-ground,she was a bit chubby,no distal taper and uneven.

It is a ********* knife.

Mark......Sadly it is a beautiful chunk of wood that has been poorly stabilized.

The machi was long to begin with and I did pull a few mm off when I rounded it.I did not realize that it was a bit long until it the handle was mounted:bashhead:

I like the long machi kinda masamoto-ish Looks good Mario. Did you make the handle is that some kinda guard on the end of the ferrule?

Mike I made that handle about a year ago and it has been sitting in my wood box,I would not sell it due to the stabilizing issue.That is a chunk of brown camel bone scale in front of the ferrule.


TB......I did not put a finish on this handle,I did wax it after the pics.

Bummer, because it sure is a pretty piece of wood.
