When searching on here I came a across a list of materials used for boards rated worst to best. Does anyone know where that is?

This isn't a direct answer, as I'm not familiar with a specific post here on KKF (not saying there isn't one), but if you go to the Boardsmith website, his FAQ has a pretty good discussion on various woods and hardnesses. You can find the link in his thread below.

I'm not finding a specific thread with an exact "best to worst" list, but here's a couple good discussions on the topic:

Here, (http://www.kitchenknifeforums.com/showthread.php/3483-Any-data-on-cutting-board-material-and-edge-retention) here, (http://www.kitchenknifeforums.com/showthread.php/2389-Need-Advice-The-Ideal-Cutting-Board-for-Home-use) and here. The best way to search KKF is to use google. If you do it this way - search word(s) site:kitchenknifeforums.com, it will force google to only search KKF.
