View Full Version : Bold pattern, and Koa 240 mm Gyuto

09-11-2012, 05:43 PM
Some of you may remember quite a while ago, I asked for opinions on a bold damascus pattern. Bits and pieces, here and there between other projects, this on has now been completed, and will be heading over to Chef Knives To Go for sale soon.
When I first brought this one out in the open, I did a little video, here is the link again for anyone wanting to check it out again.

So, 240 mm Gyuto, 1084 and 145N20

Tri color Mokume bolsters

Presentation Koa from our buddy Mark at Burl Source ( the shimmer and color shift in this is just ridiculous!)

This has a convex grind. The etch is high contrast, but it is not a deep etch by any means.

Thanks for looking! Comments are always welcome!
