Hi,

a customer asked me about handles for his knives and one of them really confused me. He was nice enough to let me share it, so here it is:

It's a Kumagoro 240 gyuto that was converted by EE into a serrated knife. The buyer's wife seems to use serrated knives a lot, so they had this done. I never even thought it would be possible but it seems to perform fine. The back side suffered a bit during the conversion, though. It's so unusual, I just wanted to show it to you guys.

Stefan, that reminds me of the Kramer chef's knife that was ground down into a slicer. As I recall, I read about it about a year and a half ago on the forum we do not name.

Cool but weird. I wouldn't ever thing of having something like that done to a knife.

I think a chainsaw blade sharpener/grinder would work great for that:biggrin2:
