Here is the first of 3 new knife designs we will be bringing to you knife knuts over the next few months.

This is the Montana Travler neck knife, Or MTN for short.. :D

I chose the name for these knives "Travler" based on a awesome American horse breed that is a very unique. The Travler breed was developed and is well known for it's unmatched stamina and strength in the back country. Its a trusted and relied upon stallion. A tried and true American work horse!

Heres a little food for thought and background on the Travler.
"Breed evolution: In the 1930s, mountain man Tom Eaton began combining the bloodlines of the Tennessee Walking Horse, Morgan Horse, American Saddlebred, Thoroughbred, and Hamiltonian in a search for "the perfect horse." By the early 1970s, his breeding resulted in an eye-catching, ground-covering chestnut stallion.

The Montana Travler has great heart depth, stamina, an excellent topline, sound conformation, strong feet, and a willing temperament. Travlers are narrow, but deep-chested, which enhances endurance. Because they were bred to travel mountain trails, pack, and cut and work cattle, the breed is surefooted and brave."The Montana Travler has great heart depth, stamina, an excellent topline, sound conformation, strong feet, and a willing temperament."

My new Montana Travler knives are my work horse knives. I have a feeling they will live up to there name sake, and become known as a trusted and reliable tool and work horse!

These will be offered in HHH Damascus, 1095, and AEBL. I will also offer a limited number of K390, Elmax, CPM, etc.

Thanks guys for checking out the post and your input is welcomed.

How are you doing that logo in the handle? I don't imagine that you're doing it by hand...

Water? Laser? Mill? Awesome stuff.

without incriminating myself, ahem, that sounds about right :)

beautiful btw. love the homage to the workhorse and the embedded logo. too cool.

now the history geek in me will come out, but wasn't Robert E Lee's horse named 'Traveler' too? he was a fascinating man and general.

at first I was thinking 53.86 oz. was pretty heavy for a neck knife. So I found that it's 3.36 lbs.

Glad you fixed that.

Heres a couple more. These were commissioned as a Farther and son knife. They will be used in Honduras. So I felt that some Honduran rosewood burl was in order for the Fathers knife. :)

This is a model I call KDM Its a beast of a knife a 1/4" thick. and with a 5" blade. The steel is some of Randy Jr's Crazy Lace"

Thanks for looking and God Bless YA!

I got to play with/fondle/what have you the Traveler Neckers and the father and son knives. They weren't completely finished when I did, but they were close enough that I got a feel for them. These neckers are great designs, and would be awesome as an EDC, an could do double duty on a hunting trip. The Talon sheath is genius, and works like a charm!

Back to the father/son knives, Randy isn't kidding...they're absolute beasts! Beautiful and beastly. Kinda like a deba crossed with Bowie and a piece of art. Very cool knives, I must say!

Hello and good day. I have a few of these in 1095 High Carbon, Ready to Rock N Roll if anyone is interested. The specks are the same on these as the initial post. Price is 140.00 each PM or comment here to secure yours.

Soooo tempting but I have a Spyderco folder in super blue and an ESEE IZULA in 1095 so I don't need another carbon EDC. Any idea when you'll do a run in AEB-L (as mentioned n your first post)?

Wow that's a great price, I still love and carry my falcon daily but now I might have to grab one of these. Also interested in whether your gonna do a run in stainless. By the way junior that 'crazy lace' is one of the coolest looking Damascus patterns I've seen yet. Is striking yet organic, great!
