That looks like the stainless core steel is damascus and the cladding is a simple stainless steel. Looks like you got that backwards Randy
I would even go as far as saying that modern, hi-tech stainless steels (which often are made with PM process) will outperform on the edge holding side
I love the look of the kurouchi and the patina. Just lovely knife. I wish I would need another petty I would love one in 180mm size.
Honestly, most of my petty use, both past ownership and ones I got to borrow were stainless before this knife, but I am always quick to recommend this
Mikey. This is at 120 Grit. And a quick and dirty etch. I suspect that some of these lines will show up even at higher grits and higher finish. But
