Gaku helped translate, my Japanese is horrible. It would definitely help to know Japanese, but what also helps is using a translator app (google translate, etc). I didn't expect to do that either, I just thought I was going to see, but it was definitely a great experience.

Just think about what you really need and what else you can do with that money. But realistically by posting this, you are looking for reasons to buy this knife. Realistically you don't need it, but you'd probably be able to resell it after a few months for a very slight loss.

Never heard of Vitamix stopping, always seeing them at my Costco Roadshow. Would be a shame if they did stop though.
