    Speaking from experience. Had EU based company. The threats and lawsuits from US based companies are just part of their way of doing bussines. Its hard to not take it personally. Our layers played more of a shrink role for me. Having said that. It is a dick move. No majime knives for me.

    When does an integral bolster make sense?

    if done like this, it concentrates weight where you hold the knife making it more nimble. Plus it makes the spine really stiff (super nice on longer knives)

    My two cents on the current apex ultra batch: I have the 250 version and for an all-rounder it performs above its price range. I do own older mcx 230 and its not as nimble as the current 250. The weight distribution is so much better now. I also tried to sharpened it, and found it rather easy...
