That would make sense. It is used. The person selling it bought it used as well. Trying to figure out if its a good deal not. He's asking 250. Just dont know what kind of steel it is or anything.

yeah, it has that symbol with the circle on the back. thats the thing, it looks like a sohonton on the front. although not sure about that extra kanji above the masamoto symbol, looks like nothing ive ever seen on their knives. same with tsukiji masamoto. here is the symbol on the back...
