Yeah I personally think it’s just unfortunate and disrespectful for hamonos grinding off stamps like that 😓. It’s more common on older blades especially; not only tadakuni, but also a lot of Tatsuo under yoshihiro brand has ground tang as well…

Unfortunately all Tatsuo under the brand Ichimonji Tadakuni (堺一文字忠國) stamps has been ground off… but all Honyaki under this lineup has been confirmed being made by Tatsuo Ikeda. Kinda like how Fudo and Genkai interacts.
