    when pushing the knife away on the stone, do you use the same pressure and same angle as on the pull stroke? i hear from some sources that they use less pressure on this stroke? Does anything change on this stroke? thanks

    really nice. i like the way the damascus pattern blurs near the front edge. Somehow, a purely symettrical pattern is a bit boring and makes it look like the blade was stamped out in a production run. Have always liked Bill's work and the high point of my life would be to visit his shop one day

    very tasty Bill Question: can the back edge of the heel section be slightly chamfered? would this help finger fatigue for people who rest their middle finger against this edge for a long time. I saw this little feature on a Kitaeji knife from Shigefusa, thought it was a good idea

    been a knife lover for over 25years, have a pretty big collection mostly all custom mades; my wife wonders where all our money went. I love carbon steel knives but of course the issue is looking after them. Have a pretty big Japanese blade section also - debas, sujihikis, gyutos, sashimi knives...
