I wasnt sure where to put this. My wife has a 4 liter bottle of cotton seed oil at work that is expiring. I was wondering if this is acceptable for cutting boards and handles. It is pharmaceutical grade, so it is safe to eat. They just can't return it to the vendor, shipping costs is prohibitive.

Thanks
Jared

Do not use cotton seed oil on your boards. It will eventually go rancid and get sticky

Use it for frying. We used to use cotton seed oil for beignets. When in a pinch it would do well with anything else we would throw at it in a pinch.
