FS TERUYASU FUJIWARA NASHIJI 270 SUJI WITH CUSTOM HANDLE

This is the JCK branded (JCK Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan white #2) version of the Fujiwara Nashiji 270 suji. It has never been sharpened (just stropped on balsa) but I have smoothed and rounded the spine and choil (if you've ever handled a Teruyasu Fujiwara knife you know they come "a little rough"). And of course it comes with a custom handle from some guy named Mikey. The handle has a live end red mallee body, desert ironwood ferrule, and dyed black ash spacer. Despite the size, this is a very nimble suji and has pretty amazing edge retention. It still has the factory edge, but is probably due for a little stone work. If you'd like me to sharpen it before shipping just let me know. Price for this is $375 including domestic shipping (international is $365 + actual shipping costs).

    Be well,

Maybe wrong place to ask, but why is the butt of handle not clean cut and left the way it is?

If this was a B/S/T listing it would be the wrong place to ask. As this is a "Hobbyist Craftsman" sales listing, it's a perfectly legitimate question. I chose to go with a live end style because I felt it would go well with the rustic finish Teruyasu Fujiwara knives are known for. A sleek, highly refined handle would look out of place on this blade, and a plain subdued handle would just be no fun at all.
