Like many am very tempted by maxims yoshi petty sale. I currently have a hattori fh 150 and was wondering whether to sell and jump on board. Is it a better knife? I realize that it is a subjective question but one thing I like is the wa handle apart from that don't know much about it. Ta

Better is so subjective depends on what your needs are,

If your using for fruit, vegies and protein like removing silver skin/ trimming I'd say a think petty like konosuke.

If your using it for harder objects stick to what you have.

The Hattori FH is actually thinner than a Yoshikane - 1.65mm vs 2.35mm. About all you will notice is a change in the handle, but if you want to try a wa-handle, go for it.

Thanks guys. I pulled the trigger. The handle on the fh is too small for my mitts. The thicker spine, slightly larger blade height and handle are all things I would prefer in my petty. And it's cheap!
