anyone here know anything about these stones? they're reasonably priced so my curiousity was piqued.

are they as soft as the naniwa super stones? how fast do they work? are they any good?

thanks.

i think i do know the 3000 work stone as its used in the 1k/3k combo. i didnt like the stone at all. its soft, so it tends to be cut into. furthermore i remember it to be very slow cutting. nevertheless it is hard bond and doesnt dish as fast as a king for example. although i wouldnt recommend it, i dont know if theres a better one in its price class.

thanks for the info berko. looks like that one's off the list.

can anyone say anything about the pro stone?

wow that does look a lot like it.

thanks for the info benuser.

that's off the list too then. i like stones that are harder, a lot harder.
