Best felt for deburring - trick I just learned

I am sharing this wonderful thing I just learned.

First off Google, "industrial felt" in the area you live.
Visit them, ask if you can buy some scrap pieces of their 1" thick felt. They will either give it to you or charge you a couple of bucks. (My local place didn't charge me and I ended up with probably a lifetime supply of deburring felt in the form of three strips of scrap that together were about 2 sq feet).
Take it home and with a cheap razor blade type utility knife cut it into pieces suitable for deburring.

You will be a happy camper!

Is there a minimum "grit" for felt for deburring? I ordered some felt that is .4
But have seen harder felt @ .5 & .7 am I wasting my time?

I'm not sure what you mean by "grit". But, I use Industrial Hard Pressed wool felt, SAE F-1, F-2, or F-3 @ 1/2"-3/4" thick. F-1 is the hardest while F-3 has the most "fuzzy" texture (of the 3 I listed) to grab at burrs when slicing through it.
So, I use F-1 or F-2 to strop on, used plain for straight razors instead of using canvas, or loaded with 1uM Diamond spray when I strop knives to touch up the edge. Then I use the F-3 block to slice into to remove burrs.
