For straight grain Desert Ironwood, I thought these were pretty good looking.
I will be adding them to the store on 3/7. Scales only, no blocks.
I found some nice Ironwood that was poorly cut but still very good wood.
So I spent the day today getting them sanded flat and even. Just about ready to go into the store tomorrow.

Think anyone will like this stuff?

Hell yes Mark, good lookin' stuff. u rock.

Umm, Yes. I see 3 sets I want already! :)

I love Ironwood. its so rich in color and even the straight grain stuff looks amazing.

My wife thinks I am on my way home,
but.......I had to try to get a better photo. No luck.
But it is a bigger photo.

Mark - is that color contrast from lighting, or do they look that good in daylight? oh and how thick are they on average?

They are just under 3/8" thick. I think the guy who had cut them originally used a dull shovel.
Good contrast and color changes when you move them around in direct light.
The middle right set looks a tad bit darker in RL.
The others in the last photo look pretty true to color on my monitor.

I don't know if anyone is going to like them Mark.

Just send them on over and I will dispose of them for you.

Sorry for your loss. :tease:

Yeah, ironwood sucks. It's so...umm...sucky.

I could use a few sets too. They look great.

These sets of Desert Ironwood Scales are now in the store.
Go to the Natural Hardwood Scales section of the store, or just click on the photo.
