Lately there have been a lot of requests for natural, untreated woods in addition to Ironwood and the super hard woods.
Some of the requests have been from makers wanting a lower cost alternative to the stabilized pieces.

So now in the Natural wood blocks section you will start seeing a variety of woods that I usually get stabilized.
These pieces will only remain in the store for a limited time.
I figured by offering them first as untreated wood and then later send the remaining ones in to be stabilized when I am sending in a batch, everyone would have an opportunity to get what they want. I won't be doing this with everything but I will try to post a good mix of different woods.

These quarter sawn Maple blocks are what I added to the store today.
They are double length so you can get two handles from each piece.
