every few months someone asks this question... here's the answer. The term "best" is often misleading. While some options may be good for some people, they might suck for others. There are a number of craftsmen at the very top of their game all over the place. But "the best" will depend on a lot of subjective criteria... personal preference, cutting style, sharpening ability, what you cut, aesthetic differences, etc.

Are you asking because you're interested in buying something or more just out of curiosity?
