From a friend/customer. He thinks it's hippo tooth. I guessed walrus but really have no idea. (Must have been a heavy coffee drinker or smoker). A buddy of mine said possibly fossilized walrus. Too heavy for a handle. I was thinking maybe spacers or something. It's the size of a medium banana, maybe a couple pounds. I want to barter for it.

pretty sure it's hippo tooth but, I need a close up it could very well be fossilized walrus ivory. does it look like tapioca in the core or is it very fine grained. tapioca= walrus fine, grained = hippo.
 
Thank you Sachem, what's the best day of the week and time of day to come in? I wouldn't mind an excuse to take a day off and take a little road trip.
