I an wondering what the typical length and geometry is like for a scimitar? I am interested in width at heel, thickness at heel, grind, taper, whatever info you may have..

Thanks

John

The ones i have used have been between 12-14 inches long and about 3-4mm at heel with very slight taper.

As far as geometry really can't say

Old Victorinox, 40-50 years old.
Length tip-handle, 23cm, along edge 24,5cm. Width at heel 3,2cm, spine 3mm at heel, 2mm at top of nose.
Common European grind, very slight convexity right, left flat, except for some convexity near the edge, symmetric edge.
