Been trying to make this one for over a year. This is what happened the first time...Flaw in the steel construction from the mill.

I regrouped and started all over( kept the one above...it is hanging in my shop lol) and think i got it figured out.






I will list this one as soon as i get a saya done. How does it look?

So i managed to get a saya done. Tried to match it to the handle as best as possible. It has a handle of stabilized claro walnut, hippo ivory spacer and indonesian ebony ferrule, saya is curly walnut also.
Dimensions are Blade: 180mm on edge. 50mm tall at the heel 5mm thick. 1095, differentially heat treated to produce a nice hamon.
Handle : 139mm long, 16/22mm ferrule and 19/26mm butt end.
Weight is 339 grams.
Price is $525 plus shipping.
