OK, I've been playing with different finishes for reducing stiction for years, and have yet to come up with a definitive "that's the one" finish. Sometimes a 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper vertical seems to do the trick, sometimes the face seems to work better with a finer grit, or even highly polished, (blade geometry notwithstanding).

Anyone out there found the El Dorado of antistiction finishes?

Thanks for your input.

I prefer a horizontal pattern: easier to apply, no risk of damaging the edge or even overgrinding. Fresh P600 is fine with stainless. However, I don't care too much. Often I just use coarse - brown - ScotchBrite.
