    Question about tadatsuna deba

I have been thinking about buying a Deba and saw this :

I have yet to make the single bevel leap and this seems perfect.

So my question: will a double bevel deba work was well as a single bevel.
Does anyone have this knife or something similar.

I have a moritaka double bevel deba that I like a lot. It 180mm but I have the urge to go true single bevel.

A knife like that is usually called a Western deba or a gyuto-deba. It is a heavy duty gyuto, and not in any way comparable to a single-bevel deba. Sorry.

UCMD/Turbo - I have a 210 Suisin Ginsenko (sp?) Miroshi Deba that I like a lot. I saved about a 100 bucks on price of same size IH. I also have a smaller, inexpensive Deba that works well for me on smaller fish. 165 I think. Both are true single bevels. I can send either one your way .if you want to kick the tires and take it around block. Thnk of it as a very small, try before you buy. Neither of these is being considered for sale.

    PM if interested.

i would buy a cheap-ish deba as a first deba, and would only get one if you eat a lot of fish.
