14" monster vintage carbon Scimitar.
I got the blade on e-bay and sent it to Adam for rehandle. We chose to go for copper liners and a mosaic pin, the handle design is mine.
When I hold it I feel like pirate, I can go duel with that thing.

I am not sure yet when I will use it but I just had to get it it looks so good and it was really cheap.
I am going to sharpen it tonight.

You like then?

That was a fun project. Really a huge knife.

Nice!
Just do all your cutting with it for a day, just because.

thought about that, this thing is pretty thin behind the edge so I may try it.
I am not sure what the HRC is, if it is too low it might not hold edge too long for that task.

I see Hoffman Butcher, but can't make out the rest. Where is it from?

According to the description on the auction it is old American company that is all I know

I was able to find the listing here what it says:
"It was made by in Massachusetts by Hoffman, now defunct, sometime in the period of late 1940's--early 1960's"

Nice, I have a 14" vintage russel cimeter. Cool knife, although I don't have much call for it honestly.

That's awesome. Makes me want to get an old 4star elephant Sabatier again.
