This is my very first knife made by an ABS Master Smith.
The knife was made for me by Aaron Wilburn who became a Master Smith this year.
Here are some quick photos. The knife looks way better in person.
Tonight I will be cutting everything I can get my hands on with this.

If it looks better in person than it must look like excalibur because it looks great to me. Any details about blade length, handle material, etc?

Nice knife! Profile is like a fatter konosuke. How's it cut? What's the steel? Can we get an overhead shot of the handle?

Aaron told me what the steels are and I promptly forgot. The handle material is some of the stabilized Bog Oak.
I haven't cut anything with it yet, but that will change in about an hour or so.

The knife is leaning a bit in the photo so the handle looks off a bit but it's not.

Handle looks nice. Thanks for the shot

lol wouldn't ya know the wood guy would go straight to the wood and nothing about the steel. Great looking knife.

Can you feel the contrast on the pattern? It's amazing. Love the maker's mark too.

It is a deep etch so you can feel the pattern.
I couldn't capture it in my photos but in sunlight the blade looks chatoyant.

It also looks to be rather thin? How's it cut?
When I look at it on edge it seems to disappear. By far the thinnest knife I have.
Unexpected events have prevented me being able to use it yet. Maybe tonight.

I really like Aaron's work. Nice knife!

I used the knife last night to take apart a raw chicken.
It was actually fun.
First time I can say I had fun boning a chicken.
:shocked3:
That didn't sound right.
