Good post Mucho.
I already use the coffee grounds.
I find it keeps the earthworms very active in the compost.
We even get coffee ground from Starbucks sometimes (they give them away to gardeners.) They really heat up the compost.
And the epsom salts are good for after gardening, too--really helps those aching muscles to soak in an epsom salts bath after yard work.

A shallow saucer of beer will attract snails. They tank up on the grog and become legless(!).
but they are legless. =D
they get drunk and die in the beer. dehydrated from the liquor.
