Sakai Yusuke 210 regular or thick?

The regular blade is 2.3mm, thick is 2.7mm. My only experience is with my current Shun classic. No clue the thickness of the Shun. What are the advantages/disadvantages of choosing 2.3 vs 2.7? I like the flatter blade profile better than my Shun, but I am unsure about thickness.

I'd get the thick one. The few that own these thicker Yusukes say they are great

Really, as long as they're thin behind the edge, that's a pretty trivial difference in spine thickness. It will probably show in regards to the grind and sticktion.
The difference between try and triumph is a little "umph"! NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!
