    none of those are precisely cheap, especially shipped to the US.

    You can also still get a Dexter Chinese carbon cleaver for a relatively good price. I happen to prefer the carbon steel version to the stainless.

    There is a Takeda chuka for sale on the old forum, it's not a "cheapie" buts it's an excellent deal!

    So much information... I am located in the US, so shipping cost is a concern, especially since I do not want a super expensive knife.

    I would like a carbon steel one. No Japanese writings on it please, Chinese is okay. It is a Chinese cleaver, after all.

    You can have this CCK, that Nochop is using right now assuming he dosen't want to keep it. You are also welcome to borrow it for a while just to try out a cleaver
