They are a little small for a gyuto or suji but for a boning knife or petty they work fine. Although I have done larger knives just takes a little more time.
 
I take it by Misano you mean the Misono Hankotsu. However, if this knife is still available I'd love to take it.
 
Just ordered one of those misonos the other day, oh well! The knife with the longest name in history is sexy, and seems like a good price....
