Hi everyone my name is Lachlan, I'm from Sydney Australia and after trying to decide what kind of knife I wanted to buy which I thought would be relatively easy.

I decided to join the forum because I've been doing a lot of reading and watching videos to try to decide what I want.

I haven't got much experience in quality kitchen knives but i'm keen to learn. I've attempted sharpening and honing but I've never had a great deal of success.
I've used my dad's Gustav Emil Ern knife set growing up which he has had most of his life, and now I'm looking to start my own knife collection.

Welcome.The older Gustav knives are the best of the German knives,i have a boning knife which i have been using for 20 years now.
