These are without a doubt, some of the very best Blocks of stabilized Oregon Maple Burl I have ever had.
The light color piece in the center is there as a reference to show what is the normal color for Maple.

These blocks have vivid dark coloring, bold burl figure from edge to edge, and NO FLAWS.

Very nice. Wish I still had my old shop. I would love to try my hand at making a few handles.

are those wetted with anything, or is that dry wood?

I sand the blocks to 220 grit and then spray them with a light coat of aerosol lacquer.
This gives an accurate glimpse of the colors and figure.
The wood will look way better when you fine sand and finish it.

Hard to believe, looks stunning already. Great pieces, Mark!
