New to the forum. Just started cooking a lot more the last year and am beginning to realize I need some better tools. I currently use some cheap bread and paring knives, and a 6" wusthoff kitchen knife. I am looking for some ideas on where to go next. I also should state my sharpening skills are limited as I have never used a whetstone. Should that be the first thing to learn before buying a nicer knife?
