    Wow, I thought they had stopped exporting that? One of my favorite woods, looks like you got great pieces, too.

    But when it gets stabilized and sanded finer, that is when the figure really stands out.

    My understanding is no export of raw wood.
    Technically, these are finished products.

    This just arrived from Hawaii.

    It is about 4 foot long. Should be able to get some good blocks from this slab. Too soon to tell but it looks like a good portion of the slab will yield blocks with bold figure on all 4 surfaces.

    I cut up the slab into double size blocks and had to sand a couple to get an idea what it will be like.
    There are areas with different colors and the figure varies a bit, but it looks like it will be some of the good stuff.
