Great looking handle, Marko. Can't wait to see the finished knife!

    Looks great!

Wondering how it compares in size to your octagonal handles---the photos make it look like a bigger handle.

Here are some more pictures (camera pics taken in the shop) of the completed Western handle gyuto.

This one is 235mm, 52100 steel. Handle is cocobolo with blackwood end cap and brass guard.

    S-grind.

Thanks guys. It took me a long time to produce it, it is my first Western, and even though I have made many D and octagonal, it took me some time to figure out how to do it.

I incorporated suggestions from many of you into this handle. I will do minute tweaking (if needed) as I get more feedback, I made this handle do my own liking.

Thanks again for suggestions, feedback and guidance. It really makes a big difference.

    Marko

Sweet, Marko! But I'd like a little more contrast in the endcap. In these pics, it's a little lost.
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - Lawrence
