Here's a shot of some blocks I just got back from being stabilized at K&G. This is my first batch of spalted woods that have been drying for about six months since I first cut them up. The spalteds include Mango, Tamarind and White Oak. There's also Sindora Burl, Black Ash Burl, Koa and a swirly grained Amboyna in there. I'm curious to see how they all look prim and proper. The White Oak could turn out to be very special pieces.

Not sure when I can get to cleaning and finishing these, but my hope is in the next two weeks. I'll keep you posted as to my progress.

Thanks everybody. Didn't get as far as I wanted to in finishing these up this weekend: company and rain. But I'll go at it again this week and still think I can have them in the store by early next week. The ones I sanded seem to be pretty nice, but only got to the 36 grit to get the chemicals off. Time will tell.
