So after watching a few of you guys sell some of your straight razors I got to thinking about going through and thinning out my collection. I used the criteria that if I wasn't going to use it then I'm going to sell it so here they are....

All prices DO NOT include shipping.

Please read descriptions & look carefully at pictures before purchasing.

None of these razors are shave ready!

10. THE J.R. TORREY CO
(US arrow)
WORCESTER, MASS.

c. 1880-1963 (Razor made after 1902, likely early 20[SUP]th[/SUP] century)

Scales – Celluloid imitation mottled green wood grain with US patented blade holder. Patent No. 795, 996 – Aug. 1, 1905

Size – 5/8
Length (cutting edge) – 2 6/8”
Spike Tip
Blade Condition – Marked “Full Double Concave” – Gold Wash is gone but etching remains. Slight pitting stains.
Tang – Mother of Pearl
Accessories – Original storage case with original paper insert

*This razor is one of the key pieces in my collection. I’m only selling it because I’ll never use it and I say that because I’ve owned it for about 20 yrs now and never honed it even.

This would have been a premium razor in it’s time, definitely not for the common man. It’s uniqueness comes from the handle material, handle style – patented blade holder, blade etching, being un-honed, mother of pearl tang inlays, original storage case, and insert paper. It’s a rare find for sure. Also worth noting is that this razor (style/type) is shown in “The Razor Anthology” page 107.

Price - $150

What would be the shipping to Aus for this please.

WOW, I'll have to let this go but thanks for the reply.

Got mine today in better than advertised condition. Thanks Dave!!!!

Only 2 left!

#4 - Yankee Cutlery - $8 Off

#6 - Carr & Co - $15 Off

These two look bad for sure, lots of rust, but they should clean up to be stellar shavers. If you've never done this before basically you Flitz the rust away and then either continue on to polish with a Dremel or simply do like I do and leave the pitting where it is and hone away. I bought both of these with the intention of making them shave ready. If you like a project them these are worth considering.

@ 50 + free Shipping I take them Both # 4 & # 6 can you do that Dave ?
