I have had a bunch of heat treated cpm154 blanks sitting around and my normal belts just dont grind them well. At randys hammer in over the weekend, he gave me a ceramic belt he is testing, so i figured i would give it a try. Bottom line, they are amazing! I grabbed a 150 petty and rocked it out and here she is.
Specs are as follows.
cpm-154 @ 61 rc. 153mm on edge.
Handle is Curly Oak, black spacer and musk ox ferrule. will get the dimensions when i get home.

Mike, what belts were you using before and what are Randy using now?

I was using cubitron 2, i will have to look but i think its a 999 ceramis belt that i used...its made for stainless

Just my 2 cents.
Mike makes a great petty.
I use mine almost every day.
Something about the size, profile and how it cuts makes it get used more than any other knife I have.

This looks amazing! really nice taper to what looks like a fine tip. and the handle!! i'm liking the musk ox ferrule
